A ministry, not a business.
One person, a calling, and a system simple enough to give away.
I'm Jacob Wright, and Berean Studios started with something I couldn't shake. I woke up in the middle of the night and felt God calling me to use the skills and gifts He's given me to serve the body of Christ. This is how I'm answering that call. A degree from a Christian Bible college gave me the foundation for it, and over twelve years of experience in video, photography, and other creative fields, along with a background in IT and technical work, gave me the tools to do something about it.
A few people have told me I should charge for this. That isn't what I felt God wanted. He told me He would take care of me and my family, like He always has, and He has. So this is a ministry for me, not a business.
Before someone visits a church or reaches out to an organization for the first time, they usually look it up. I want every church and Christian organization to have every chance to reach those people, and one of them is a website that is easy to read, has what a visitor needs to know, and is easy for you to keep up yourself.
My hope is that it frees you to give your time and energy to the ministry God has called you to.
How it stays free
There's no fee hiding somewhere. Every site runs on the same system, built on established services that cost very little at an organization's size, and the work itself is volunteered. Because every site shares one well-kept foundation, the tenth site is not ten times the work of the first. That's what makes giving it away sustainable.
If an organization wants to support the work, that's welcome. It is never required, and it never changes what you get.
