This page explains what information this website collects, why, and what happens to it.

What Berean Studios collects, and why

Browsing this site doesn't require you to give anything. Berean Studios asks for information in two places, and only if you choose to use them: the contact form on the Contact page, and the page where you ask for a website.

If you send a message through that form, Berean Studios collects your name, email address, organization name (if given), and whatever you write. It is used for exactly one purpose, replying to you.

If you ask for a website, Berean Studios keeps your organization's name, whether you said it is a church or another kind of organization, the email address you give, the look you pick, and your state if you choose one. It also keeps a scrambled code made from your internet connection's address, never the address itself, to tell when many requests come from one place. These are used to decide on your request, set up your website, and write to you about it.

If you give a phone number with your request, only Berean Studios sees it, and only to call you with a question about the request. It is never shown on your website or sent anywhere else, and it is deleted as soon as your request is answered.

Services that help this site work

A few outside services see limited information so this site can run. Each sees only what it needs, and none of them sells it.

• Cloudflare hosts this site and the page where you ask for a website, so it handles the basic technical details of every visit, like your IP address, to deliver pages and block attacks. When you send the contact form, its Turnstile check also looks at those details to tell people from bots.
• Resend delivers contact-form messages to Berean Studios' inbox, and the emails sent to you about your request and your website.
• Google Fonts supplies the lettering this site uses, so your browser asks Google for the font files, the same way it would on most websites.

Cookies

This site does not use tracking or advertising cookies, and it does not run analytics.

How long it is kept

A contact-form message is kept only as long as needed to respond to you, plus the basic delivery records the email service keeps. A request for a website is kept as the record of what was asked for and what was decided. Berean Studios doesn't maintain a marketing list.

Your rights

You can ask at any time what information Berean Studios has from you, and ask for it to be deleted. Email hello@berean.studio or use the contact form, and Berean Studios will do its best to respond promptly.

Ownership and how this works

Your words and photos are yours. The people at your organization who can change your site can also download a copy of all of it, every word and every photo, at any time, without asking. You're free to leave whenever you like, no strings attached.

Every site gets its own look. Your look, colors and content are set up for your organization. The system behind the sites, and Berean Studios' own tools and workflow, stay part of how Berean Studios operates, not part of what's handed over. That shared system is how this stays free.

Provided as-is. Berean Studios builds every site carefully, but can't guarantee it will be error-free or always available, and is not liable for losses connected to using it.

Support after launch. There's no formal support contract or ticket system. Email anytime and Berean Studios will help as it is able, for as long as it is around to do it.

Either side can step back. If circumstances change, either side can end its involvement at any time. You keep your words and photos.
